Unwavering support through fertility struggles
Being diagnosed with PCOS in my early 20s was incredibly overwhelming. I had so many questions and so few answers. I’d struggled with irregular periods for years, but I never got the clarity I needed. Fast forward to after I got married and we started trying to have children, I knew my diagnosis meant it wouldn’t be easy, but after months of no success, I decided to reach out to my local fertility clinic. Hearing that conceiving would be difficult was heartbreaking, especially since I had always dreamed of becoming a mother.
I was lucky to have Elaine by my side throughout it all. With endless tests, procedures, and failed IVF cycles, I felt like a pin cushion at times. But Elaine never wavered in her support. Even when things didn’t go as planned, she reassured me that it was normal and encouraged me to keep going, month after month. There were many times I didn’t understand what was happening or why, and without Elaine’s guidance, I would have felt completely lost.
