What is a fertility doula?
A fertility doula is trained to support couples during preconception to help them prepare emotionally and physically for pregnancy. Emotional preparation may include ways to combat stress and the waiting that goes along with the process.
Your fertility plan will be done by a physician, not your fertility doula. Your fertility doula is an additional support person. They can help you decide when it is time to seek extra help, assist you in finding the appropriate specialist, and navigate the fertility journey with you.
I have worked in the fertility world for over 30 years performing sonograms for the practice. I realized that women didn’t get the connection that they needed to get through what can be a challenging journey. I am able to guide you through what can be overwhelming, filled with emotional highs and lows, medical appointments, and significant decisions. It’s completely normal to feel like you need extra support—and that’s where I come in.
As a fertility doula, I offer compassionate, nonjudgmental guidance and care. Whether you’re processing complex emotions, exploring options, or seeking practical strategies to reduce stress, my goal is to help you feel empowered and supported. This chapter of your journey may not always be easy, but you don’t have to face it alone. Together, we’ll navigate this road with care and confidence, helping you take meaningful steps toward creating your family.
